My Pink Coaster

Hello! It has been a little too long, but I was traveling around and work everyday.

My website will be functioning in about a week, and I am happy to announce to change my blog style.
Since I started this blog half a year ago, I strictly limited the contents only my artwork. From now on, I will post ANYTHING, probably including not-related-to-art, and write both in English and Japanese.

Last month I was in Japan and met some people that are interested in my artwork and my selection of clothing and furniture. Since I have a little bit of experience as a buyer and a stylist, I would LOVE to show some of my collection.

By the way, my pink coaster is officially in production and some stores will start selling. Please email me in you would be interested in it. It is exactly same material and process with my Pink Table, I wish I could show how it glows, but unfortunately the camera doesn't catch how beautifully it does!

ピンクの蛍光プラスティックで作ったコースター販売が決定しています。興味のある方、詳しいことが知りたい方是非メールくださいませ。

powder skull

I haven't posted anything for so long, but here's my personal project "powder skull."
I am not a huge skull fan, but this time it gives me a new direction, as an counterbalance of my abstraction and design oriented pieces.

The pencil drawing

This is the pencil drawing that I did several months ago. The size is about 56" x 42". This is about anxiety. Though most of my pieces are pretty colorful and intense, this piece is done in B&W. One of my favorites, and it gives my art new direction( i feel.)

my compact digital camera

recently (half a year ago) my boyfriend bought me a digital camera, so i carry it everyday and take pictures of found objects when i walk. I am not a photographer, but i like to get inspired doing different things. These photos tell me what i did, and how i felt. (it does a good job in a way cuz I always forget what i did today) Though it does nothing to do with my work, it's just fun to walk with this little fluorescent green camera, and i feel like i am kinda becoming back to a kid.

spiritual day

Some people may know that I was having this weird bubble at school like my best friend, here's what i came up with. my work get so 3d lately, but this was challenging form to work with.
This bubble originally was 1/4 inch thickness sheet of acrylic, but now it is paper thin on top. it was about to explode! haha such a fun! size w 33 x d23 x h 20

Godiva

Here's the artist branding project for Godiva. I picked high end chocolate brand, and made a box with transparent acrylic and mirrored acrylic with organic lines. The small cubes are made out of films.
The chocolates are made out of sculpey and painted in like a chocolate color! so it looks yummy! The size is about 4"x4"x4".

superficial and real

It is about the superficial things, shallowness and the real nature and real things, based on my experience.

It is oil, enamel, mirror and fabric. 36x24 on wood

i think i want to still keep working on this piece.
